My name is Charles E. Winston, I am going on my third year of
employment as
a Coach Operator here in the CAT System. I enjoy my
new career choice and I am looking forward to the future here for
all Operators.
Before coming to work
here I was employed at Binion's Horseshoe as the Employee Relations
Manager. I was involved in contract interpretation (Culinary Local
226 & Engineers Local 501), arbitration negotiations, conducted
grievance & unemployment hearings, advised department heads, &
investigated all incidents pertaining to previously mentioned
duties.
I understand and
support the principal of "UNITY" & Strength in Numbers. I also
believe in contributing to OUR Union & choose to participate
in the improvement of OUR work environment & relationship with the
company through service to you as your Accident Review Board
Steward. I promise to give every review the attention & dedication
they deserve. If you happen to be charged with a preventable
accident in the course of your duties & disagree with the Safety
Departments determination. This is what you must do.
First:
Contact Vanessa McCall in
the Safety Department at 702-636-0623 ext. 2166 & arrange a time to
stop by & pick-up an application for a hearing to be held by the
Accident Review Board.
Second:
Fill out & submit the
application. Providing your accident circumstances meet the criteria
specified by the Accident Review Board you will be contacted by the
Safety Department and provided with a date and time that you are
scheduled to appear for your review.

as soon as you have your hearing date & a time slot
scheduled. Then we can arrange a meeting for us to discuss the
details of your case & begin to formulate a strategy for your
